Route: Wyszebórz – Wiewiórowo – Osetno – Karsina – Garbno – Cetuń – Rosocha – Polanów
Trail markings: blue
The destination of the trip following the Polanów Nature Trail is the Sacred Hill of Polanów (Święta Góra Polanowska). In pre-Christian times, the local people would gather on the hill to worship old Slavic gods. Later, a wooden Christian shrine was built there and the hill became a pilgrimage destination. Today, you can see the Stations of the Cross with folk sculptures on the way up the hill, on top of which there is a Franciscan hermitage. At the foot of the hill, you will find the rest stop which is our destination.
The route starts in Wyszebórz and for a while follows the route of the Goths’ Trail. Head towards Wiewiórowo and then Karsina, passing Lake Nicemino along the way. The next villages on the route are Garbno at Cetuń which is located on the shore of Lake Wielkie. In Cetuń, there is an interesting Gothic Revival palace from the 19 th century located in a landscape park which now serves as a social welfare centre.
After leaving Cetuń, you will have around 4 km to Polanów. The route ends in Zacisze street. You can take a break on the parking lot below the Sacred Hill of Polanów. If you feel up to it, you can make the 1 km hike to the top.
