The Polanów petrographic park was established in 2013 on the initiative of foresters from the Polanów Forest District, with financial support from the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Szczecin. Petrography is a field of science about rocks and their properties, and such exhibits are presented in the park - there are 22 erratic boulders and a table with details of their history and structure next to each of them. The petrographic park was not established here without a reason - the area of the Polanów commune is quite specific and rich in various specimens. Each type of rock in the park has undergone detailed laboratory tests, so that it was possible to obtain a lot of interesting information about them.
