Koszalin Museum
The Koszalin Museum is located in a very characteristic white building which the local citizens usually call the Miller’s Palace. The building is in fact a 19th-century municipal mill.
The most interesting exhibition in the museum presents the history of Koszalin from the Middle Ages to the present day and includes plenty of artefacts and items from the city’s long history.
Interestingly, some of the collection in the museum originates from the German Heimatmuseum (Homeland Museum) which was founded in 1912 by the German Verein für Heimatkunde und Heimatschutz (Society for Tourism and Homeland Protection). The Heimatmuseum’s collection was taken over by the Koszalin Museum in 1945.
