Lake Parnowo
Parnowo is a charming and interesting place. The nearby Lake Parnowskie with a beach on the side of the village of Cieszyn is a perfect spot for a summer leisure. The lake can be bypassed either side, but it’s worth exploring both shores, as each has its own attractions.
In Cieszyn, aside from the beach, you will also find ruins of a historic church. On the other side of the lake, the key point of interest is the palace and park complex in Parnowo (now a hotel) and the adjacent stable. The complex also includes an interesting, historical granary with a tower, dating back to the late 19th century. In Parnowo, you can see the 15th-century church of the Holy Family with interesting interiors, including a Baroque pulpit and two brass chandeliers from the 18th century.
In 1976, a nature reserve was established near Parnowo but it’s closed for tourists.
