Lake Lubiatowskie
This is one of those places that remain a mystery for many citizens of Koszalin. The reason is the nature reserve established here already in 1956 (in 2007, the borders were redrawn and the nature reserve area was expanded).
With strictly limited human interference, the Lubiatowskie lakes (there are in fact three of them: Lake Lubiatowo Północne, Lake Lubiatowo Południowe and Lake Lubiatowo Wschodnie) is a safe breeding ground for rare, protected or endangered water and marsh bird species.
The nature reserve is home to over 35 bird species and is visited by further 48 species during the migration season. With a little luck (and binoculars), you can spot the black stork, the skittish corn crake or the great crested grebe.
For a beautiful vista of Lake Lubiatowskie, go to the hill in Lubiatowska street in Koszalin.
