  • Address : ul. Władysława Andersa 12, 75-626 Koszalin
The Koszalin District (German: Regierungsbezirk Köslin) was the Prussian administrative equivalent of a Polish voivodeship which existed in Koszalin between 1816 and 1945. As the name suggests, Koszalin was the capital of this district, which had its first seat in what today is Andersa street. The grand building of the district authorities was built in the 1890s in Eclectic style with Art Deco elements. The ornamental front door lead through the corridor to the courtyard with the former stables and carriage house. The building was surrounded by a park with a fountain. Its interior decorations were exceptionally rich, including elegant balustrades and stylish fireplaces. Today, the building serves as local Police headquarters. It is undergoing renovation and closed for visitors.
