  • Address : Strzekęcino 1, 76-024 Świeszyno
The Eclectic White Palace in Strzekęcino was built in 1921 (or, according to another version of its history, in 1935 and this date can be seen on the building) as a wedding present for the son of the affluent local gentry family von Kamecke. As with many other mansions and palaces in the region, their property suffered the same fate during World War II – the White Palace was seized by the Soviet army and for a short while served as the headquarters of Georgy Zhukov, Marshal of the Soviet Union and one of the top Red Army generals during the war. After the war, the palace was used as offices of the local State Agricultural Farm. In later years, it gradually fell into ruin. In 1990s, it was bought by a private investor who restored it to its former glory. While visiting the White Palace, make sure to see the historic water tower nearby.
