The church in Tychowo, built with brick and boulders in late 14 ^th century, was originally much smaller. In 1830, the nave was extended by 13 metres, new column and beam walls were built, and a wooden steeple was added. The tented roof of the steeple burned down in 1870, but was rebuilt just a year later. The church has interesting historic furnishings, including the 16th-century three-piece main altar and the 18th-century crucifix. The church steeple has three bells. Two of the original ones had been melted down and recast as cannons during World War I. They were replaced at the end of the 20 ^th century.
