Pier in Kołobrzeg
Opened in 1971, this reinforced concrete pier stretches 220 metres into the sea (for comparison, the length of the Sopot Pier is 458 metres). The 9 m-wide walking deck is located 4.5 metres above the water.
The pier ends with a viewing platform and a café; the lower deck is sometimes used as a mooring place for small vessels.
In 2014, the pier underwent a general renovation which added illumination.
The old timber pier in Kołobrzeg, built in 1881, was destroyed during World War II.
