Old village of Łabusz Old village of Łabusz

  • Address : ul. Starowiejska
In 2010, Łabusz, along with Jamno, was incorporated into Koszalin as a residential quarter. Even though its history is closely related to Koszalin, the people of Łabusz, just like their neighbours from Jamno, developed their own unique culture. The first mention of the village of Łabusz (known as Labus before World War II) dates back to 1337. A visit to Łabusz can be like travelling back in time - cobblestone street and old buildings will transport you to a world long gone. Most homesteads in the village follow the same pattern of two half-timbered utility buildings which form an entrance gate, and behind them, a single-storey home with a sloping roof. The harbour in Łabusz is used as a base for the local Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR).
