Chapel of Gertrude the Great
Very characteristic, octagonal structure, originally built probably as a cemetery or hospital chapel, with typically Gothic buttresses and a beautiful stellar vault. Built in 1383, the chapel is one of the oldest historic buildings in Koszalin. The building ceased to be a place of worship in the 18th century.
In later years, the chapel was used for various purposes - as a gunpowder warehouse, a stable or even as props storage for the nearby theatre.
Its original function and appearance were restored in 1988. Today, the chapel serves as the Protestant church of Gertrude the Great.
