Bike path on Lake Jamno flood bank Bike path on Lake Jamno flood bank

The gravel bike path follows the flood control dike of Lake Jamno. Even though it does not lead anywhere, it’s still one of the most pleasant routes in the region. If you take it, prepare yourself for some unusual views. One of them is in Łazy where just off the path, you will see the hull of a ship called “Śmiały” (The Brave). This paddle steamer, built in 1905 in J. Thornycroft’s shipyard in Chiswick, originally sailed the Thames river. Later, it was transported to Mielno with the intention of converting it into a floating cafe, but eventually ended up in Łazy in 1969, serving as a floating holiday house of the Koszalin chapter of the Polish Association of the Deaf. The bike path offers a vista of Koszalin and Chełmska Hill.
